本課程介紹古羅馬的歷史，自西元前八世紀到西元五世紀，從泰伯河畔的小鎮發展成領土橫跨英國、歐洲大陸、西亞、北非的帝國。古羅馬在軍事、政治、社會組織尤其成功，包容不同的種族與人群，可謂最偉大的帝國之一。課程涵蓋早期義大利、羅馬的誕生、共和時期、屋大維時期、到羅馬後期帝國，並設有專題討論，如: 宗教、娛樂、性別、階級、以及基督教早期歷史。
This course introduces the history of ancient Romans, from the 8th Century BC to the 5th Century, and developed from the town on the banks of the Taber River to an empire that trans-British territory, mainland Europe, West Asia and North Africa. Guroma was particularly successful in military, political and social organizations, and tolerating different races and people, and is one of the largest empires. The course covers early Italy, Roman birth, republic, Oct.a., and late Roman empires, and has special discussions such as: religion, entertainment, gender, level, and early Christian history.
