The course aims to introduce those representative poets in English Romantic period in order to read and analyze their ways of dealing with "imagination" as the most important element among the so-called Romantic poetry. A brief history concerning the so-called critical tradition will be given for letting the learners have a general look at the development of poetry writing in terms of the forms and contents in the western world. Some famous and important Romantic scholars will be introduced for letting the learners know how to appreciate Romantic poems through their works. The final goal of the course is to let the learners appreciate any kind of poetry in the future on their own.
