本課程的教學目的為一、 獲得批判各派別之鋼琴演奏技術的基本知識與能力。二、 研討鋼琴演奏技術的發展史：包括縱向的歷史觀；橫向的地域觀及當代的演奏趨勢。三、 探討各學派之鋼琴演奏技術，其長短處，及改革之原因。四、 認識歷代重要鋼琴教師之演奏理論與鋼琴教學法。五、 認識歷代及現代重要鋼琴演奏家及其演奏觀點。

The teaching purpose of this course is to gain basic knowledge and abilities to criticize the piano playing techniques of different schools. 2. Discuss the history of the development of piano playing techniques: including historical view of direction; regional view of direction and contemporary performance trends. 3. Explore the piano playing techniques of various schools, their lengths and weaknesses, and the reasons for reform. 4. Understand the performance theory and piano teaching methods of important piano teachers in the past. 5. Understand important piano players and their performance views in the past and modern times.
