宗教在古希臘及古羅馬的社會中佔有非常重要的地位。歷史之父希羅多德曾表示，自身所屬的希臘民族與其他民族不同，其中一個原因就是宗教。羅馬演說家西賽羅說：羅馬人的智慧凌駕於其他所有的民族，在於他們理解到一切都從屬於神的規則與指示。本課程前半段介紹古希臘的宗教，內容包括古希臘宗教的根源、各個時期的發展、神祇、宗教聖地、儀式與慶典。課程的第二部份介紹古羅馬的宗教，內容包括祭祀的神祇、儀式與慶典、宗教與家庭、宗教與國家。本課程應可獲得古希臘羅馬宗教的基本知識，並由此較為深刻的ㄧ個面向，可更為容易的了解古希臘羅馬的歷史。

Religion plays a very important role in the society of ancient Greek and ancient Romans. Historical father Herothodot once said that the Greek nation he belongs to is different from other nations, and one of the reasons is religion. Roman actor Sissor said: The wisdom of the Romans over all other nations is that they understand that everything comes from God's rules and instructions. The first half of this course introduces the religion of ancient Greek, including the roots of ancient Greek religion, the development of various periods, gods, religious saints, rituals and rituals. The second part of the course introduces the religion of ancient Romans, including sacrifices, rituals and scriptures, religion and family, religion and country. This course should gain basic knowledge of ancient Greek Roman religion, and thus be a more profound aspect, making it easier to understand the history of ancient Greek Romans.
