台灣戰後現代主義是文學史上一個重要的時期，它深受「遲到的現代性」的時差規範，以「橫的移植」展開一種對傳統中文的「縱的繼承」，並且規範了自身的規範詩學。這亦標誌了「中文」在戰後形式主義化自身的開始。這個過程，在六、七０年代經常以文學雜誌與知識分子社群的形式運作。到了八０年代後，台灣進入後現代文學階段，現代主義對主體存有的思考，又混雜進後現代小說的表現形式。而當代受到多元文化的影響，現代主義與後鄉土之間的曖昧亦有可以爬梳釐清的空間。本課程希望透過閱讀戰後現代主義小說的作品（1960-），整理、爬梳出台灣現代主義的特殊位置與政治、社會學等向度。並期許學生透過本課程的文本討論和選讀，培養批判意識與解析能力。

Postwar modernism in Taiwan is an important period in the history of literature. It is deeply affected by the time difference norms of "late modernity", uses "horizontal transplantation" to develop a "vertical inheritance" of traditional Chinese, and regulates its own normative poetics. This also marked the beginning of the formalization of "Chinese" itself after the war. This process often operated in the form of literary magazines and intellectual societies in the 1960s and 1970s. After the 1980s, Taiwan entered the postmodern literary stage, and modernist thinking about the existence of the subject was mixed into the expression of postmodern novels. As contemporary times are influenced by multiculturalism, there is room for clarification of the ambiguity between modernism and post-ruralism. This course hopes to sort out and sort out the special position and political, sociological dimensions of Taiwanese modernism by reading postwar modernist novels (1960-). It is also expected that students will develop critical awareness and analytical skills through text discussions and reading selections in this course.
