This course includes three sections to introduce environmental health. The first section reveals the real environmental challenges we are facing with. We will focus on the discussion about air/water /soil pollution, and the impact on public health.
The second section aims at enabling the undergraduate students to understand the principal ideas of health risk assessment, including the scope, the components, the steps, the tools, and the uncertainties. Besides the examples lectured by the instructor, there will be exercises for attendees’ thought and discussion in class.
The third part is water resource and sanitation section. Its objective is to empower students by enhancing their understanding of the management of water resource, the vulnerability of the Earth aquatic systems to anthropogenic stress and our vulnerability to water resource limitations and ecosystem degradation.
