Course Objectives and Contents
1.To begin work on the Senior Project.
2.Each student must identify an advisorand make it his/her responsibility to contact them for consultation.
3.Each student needsto make two presentations:a.Before the MidtermExam week, a preliminaryproposal idea with some pertinent data if available. Each student should sign up and have their presentations ready to be delivered on either week 6 or week 7. Sign-upsheet available on a first-come-first-served basis. b.Before the Final Exam Week, the students should complete a Final Project Presentation of project (on-goingwith data if availableor a final proposal). Each student should sign up and have their presentations ready to be delivered on either week 16 or week 17.
4.Each presentation will be judged by all the teachers in this class, which will generate an average reported grade.Also note that the student is responsible for gathering materials and conducting approved studies and to secure the necessary funds for these.
5.Each student should complete:a.A preliminary written draftof project proposal with correspondingliterature review, introduction, methods,etc by week 7. b.A final writtenproject proposalwith correspondingliterature review, introduction, methods and in some cases, results and conclusionsby week 17. Good Englishis required.
■Teaching Advising(as provided by each student advisor as part of a continuous assistance as requiredby the students. Each student should make appointments with teachers to seek their help and assistance if needed. These may include help with case studies, the mechanics of a sustainability science and engineering project, final reports, cooperationwith the use and teaching of professional software, etc.Course Objectives and Contents
