The course will be divided into four modules: Data Structures and Input/Output Operations, Ordinary Least Squares Regression, Programming Logic, and Monte Carlo Simulation. In each of these units, you will complete a series of coding exercises and a unit quiz. For your midterm and final exams, you will take part in two group projects. Each group will present its results to me on exam day.
At the end of this course, you will demonstrate proficiency in basic R coding. You will be able to independently carry out OLS regression analyses and Monte Carlo simulations. You will be able to interpret your own regression and simulation output and that of others.
