本課程將以我們生活的城市出發，以實際的案例跟成果來討論設計的可能性。
城市的複雜性愈趨複雜，資訊、文化、歷史、經濟和政治等都隨著全球化和科技的發展不斷交織，
針對這樣的情形，這裡探討的設計並不指向某個特定的專業領域，而是對於我們的生活環境，從一種人文的角度來找出一種最有機會的、最適當的方向；
這樣的方式，對於傳統上的建築或都市設計都會是很片面的理解，因此課程標題提的intervention更試圖指向一種基於現實的思考邏輯總結。

本課程設計將試圖引導參與學生從宏觀的邏輯鏈中推導微觀事物的關聯性，內容終將包含跨文化 (cross-culturalism)、跨領域的國際案例資料；而主要教學對象主要是面向建築與城市專業領域，將透過具有代表意義的案例或當代建築師/城市設師的理念來說明當代都市策略的思考，並透或一些文章的討論互動來訓練參與學生的思辨性(critical thinking)。

This course will start from the city we live in and discuss the possibilities of design with actual cases and results.
The complexity of cities is becoming more and more complicated. Information, culture, history, economy and politics are all constantly intertwined with the development of globalization and technology.
In view of this situation, the design discussed here does not point to a specific professional field, but to find the most opportunity and appropriate direction for our living environment from a humanistic perspective;
This approach will give a very one-sided understanding of traditional architecture or urban design. Therefore, the intervention mentioned in the course title attempts to point to a logical summary of thinking based on reality.

The design of this course will try to guide participating students to deduce the correlation of micro things from the macro logical chain. The content will eventually include cross-culturalism and cross-field international case data. The main teaching objects are mainly for the professional fields of architecture and urbanism. The thinking of contemporary urban strategies will be explained through representative cases or the concepts of contemporary architects/urban designers, and the critical thinking of participating students will be trained through discussion and interaction of some articles.
