課程目標：
社會工作系學生學習助人專業與技術， 社會福利導論是一門重要的基礎課程，能幫助社會工作系學生了解社會福利基本理念、相關思想、理論、發展與演進，以及社會福利重要內涵。本課程將使學生了解社會福利的價值與功能，對社會福利產生濃厚的興趣，具有宏觀完整社會福利概念，並具備福利人權觀念。進而在修習社會工作方法及社會福利政策與立法等課程時，已有相當認知及觀念，可以相互為用。
課程內涵：
包括社會福利的興起與演進、主要國家的社會福利發展、社會福利的思想、理念與價值、福利人權、社會安全制度、社會福利服務、社會福利組織人員與福利輸送、台灣社會福利制度與概況、世界趨勢社會變遷與社會福利政策變革。

Course objectives:
Students in the Department of Social Work learn the profession and technology of helping others. Introduction to Social Welfare is an important basic course that can help students in the Department of Social Work understand the basic concepts of social welfare, related ideas, theories, development and evolution, as well as the important connotation of social welfare. This course will enable students to understand the value and function of social welfare, develop a strong interest in social welfare, have a macroscopic and complete concept of social welfare, and possess the concept of welfare and human rights. Furthermore, when taking courses such as social work methods and social welfare policy and legislation, you will have considerable knowledge and concepts that can be used mutually.
Course content:
Including the rise and evolution of social welfare, social welfare development in major countries, social welfare ideas, concepts and values, welfare human rights, social security systems, social welfare services, social welfare organization personnel and welfare delivery, Taiwan's social welfare system and overview, world trends social changes and social welfare policy changes.
