陳映真是一個思想型的創作者。他的創作生涯從1959年開始跨越了將近半個世紀。他的作品以深刻的思想作底,試圖透過文學來直面這個時代及其重要問題,但又經常超越了特定的時代與地域的限制,從而揭示了更深刻的跨越地域與時代的意義。陳映真的小說創作不是「文學為了文學」所能窮盡其意義的,因為它糾結著歷史、社會與思想。閱讀陳映真創作,對本課程而言,至少有一個企圖:透過小說家所提供的視角,對戰後台灣以及區域的歷史、社會與思想,展開一種具有新的敏銳度的探索。
這門課將利用作家陳映真跨越五十年的文學創作作為第一手資料。上課之前,充分地細緻地慢慢地閱讀,並記下你的心得(而非小說故事大綱)或困思不得,是這門課的首要要求。每位參與者上課前寫就一份字數不限的心得筆記,以備討論、發言與之後的寫作。本學期沒有考試,只有一篇學期報告,於期末(1月8日)下午兩點繳交一篇3000字以內的學期報告。之前,每位同學將於期末口頭發表報告。
Chen Ying is a thought-based creator. His creative career began in 1959 and has spanned nearly half a century. His works are based on profound thoughts and try to face this era and its important problems through literature, but often transcend specific eras and regions, thus revealing a deeper meaning of transcending regions and eras. Chen Yingzhen's novel creation is not something that "literary studies for literature" can do as much as possible, because it combines history, society and thoughts. Reading Chen Yingzhen's creation, for this course, there is at least one idea: through the perspective provided by the novelist, we will explore a new and sensitive exploration of the history, society and thoughts of the later Taiwan and the region.
This course will use writer Chen Yingzhen’s literary creations spanning fifty years as first-hand information. Before going to the class, reading it carefully and slowly, and recording your experience (rather than the novel story) or being confused are the primary requirements of this class. Each participant wrote an unlimited number of experiences before class to prepare discussions, speeches and subsequent writing. There was no exam during this period, only one academic report, and a 3,000-word academic report will be submitted at 2 pm at the end of the period (January 8). Previously, each student would post a report at the end of the period.
