針對當代社會的分析，除了政治、經濟、歷史等結構性的解釋以外，文化政治提供了另一個角度，幫助我們理解不同的社會議題如何浮現、如何在媒體與論述中呈現、人們又怎麼回應等，而情感政治則有助於我們了解這些呈現與回應看法如何形成。本課程分為三個部分，第一部分從文化政治的角度，介紹何謂情感、情感對理解當代社會的重要性、與如何理解情感；第二部分介紹不同的情感與情緒的政治意義，包括憂鬱、恐懼、無聊、愛恨等；第三部分則探討不同政治與社會議題中的情感政治，包括國族集體認同、後殖民與新自由主義社會、青年運動、社會主義、性／別、情感教養等面向，當中特別選擇香港、台灣、中國為例。本課程一方面介紹學生認識情感的文化政治理論與分析，另一方面培養學生從文化政治的角度，批判地理解特定社會與公共議題，並藉比較兩岸三地論述作為思考的對照。In addition to the interpretation of structural interpretations of politics, economy, history, etc., cultural politics provides another perspective to help us understand how different social issues emerge, how they appear in media and arguments, and how people respond, etc., while emotional politics helps us understand how these presentations and responses are formed. This course is divided into three parts. The first part introduces what emotions, the importance of emotions to understanding contemporary society, and how to understand emotions from the perspective of cultural politics; the second part introduces the political meaning of different emotions and emotions, including depressedness, fear, boredom, love and hatred, etc.; the third part explores emotional politics in different political and social issues, including national collective recognition, postcolonial and neoliberal society, youth sports, socialism, sex/paragraph, emotional education and other aspects, and China specifically chooses Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China as examples. On the one hand, this course introduces the cultural and political theory and analysis of students' understanding of emotions, and on the other hand, it cultivates students to critically understand specific social and public issues from the perspective of cultural politics, and uses comparisons of the arguments of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait as a contrast for thinking.
