Modern Life: A Sociological Perspective on Senses
教育目標 Course Target
我們將藉由電影、紀錄片和文學作品，並搭配若干學術論文，以探討「現代城市裡的閒逛和偶遇」、「何謂現代主體？：界線時常迷茫的抗爭與妥協」、「新鮮的物件與現代性的情感」、「音樂與國族主義的現代性想像」等四個與現代社會的感官生活至為關鍵的課題。
We will use movies, documentaries and literary works, and a number of academic essays to explore four key subjects of sensory life in modern society, including "the leisurely visit and encounter in modern cities", "what is the modern subject?: the always confused resistance and coordination of the boundaries", "new objects and modern emotions", "modern imagination of music and nationalism".
