主要在於提供修課同學對於政治權力與經濟利益及相關資源分配的理解，並以台灣本土的政治經濟發展為主要研究範圍。本課程首先藉由引導修課同學對於臺灣政治經濟發展的歷史制度產生研究之興趣，而後藉此研習過程，以增益修課同學對於當代社會現象認知之能力。當前臺灣許多政經乃至社會問題之遠因，均可上溯至日據時期，爰此本課程將溯自臺灣遭逢日據時期的殖民統治始，以迄當前的政經情勢分析，依序以歷史的實存與發展脈絡，討論影響整體社會變遷的重要政經事件，藉以說明臺灣整體政治經濟之發展歷程。

It mainly aims to provide course students with an understanding of political power, economic interests and related resource allocation, and takes Taiwan's local political and economic development as the main research scope. This course first guides students to become interested in studying the historical system of Taiwan's political and economic development, and then uses this study process to enhance students' ability to understand contemporary social phenomena. The remote causes of many current political, economic and even social problems in Taiwan can be traced back to the Japanese occupation period. This course will trace back to the colonial rule of Taiwan during the Japanese occupation period, analyze the current political and economic situation to the present, and discuss the important political and economic events that affect the overall social changes in order to explain the development process of Taiwan's overall political economy based on the historical reality and development context.
