貨幣銀行學是了解金融市場與貨幣政策的基礎課程，有助同學掌握央行貨幣政策，可奠定財經學理基礎。具備此學理基礎後，有助同學進一步理解金融市場以及金融商品市場等專業課程。本課程一方面探討中央銀行如何藉貨幣政策工具，透過金融體系達成其貨幣政策的目標，進而影響一國之總體經濟表現；另一方面則對重要性日增的金融市場－股票市場、債券市場、外匯市場，以及新的金融工具作逐一的介紹。本課程內容包含五大主題: (1)貨幣與金融市場的基本觀念; (2)銀行學的基本知識; (3)中央銀行與貨幣政策的執行及影響; (4)貨幣與總體經濟活動之相互關係; (5)國際金融與貨幣政策,在修習本課程時，教師將隨時與同學討論與貨幣政策或金融市場有關之財經時事，並將順便講授說明相關的財金知識，培養同學判讀財經資訊的習慣與能力。Coin banking is a basic course for understanding the financial market and currency policy. It helps students master the central bank's currency policy and lays the foundation for financial sciences. After establishing this scientific foundation, it will help students further understand professional courses such as the financial market and the financial commodity market. On the one hand, this course explores how the central bank uses currency policy tools to achieve the goal of its currency policy through the financial system, thereby affecting the overall economic performance of a country; on the other hand, it introduces the increasing financial markets - stock markets, bond markets, foreign exchange markets, and new financial instruments one by one. The content of this course includes five major topics: (1) Basic concepts of currency and financial markets; (2) Basic knowledge of banking; (3) Implementation and impact of central banking and currency policies; (4) The relationship between currency and overall economic activities; (5) International finance and currency policy. When studying this course, the teacher will discuss financial affairs related to currency policies or financial markets with classmates at any time, and will teach and explain relevant financial knowledge and cultivate students' habits and abilities to judge financial information.

First, this course introduces the core principles of money and banking, including what money is and how it is used; what a financial institution is and why we need it; and what a central bank is and how it operates. Then, it shows how to apply these principles to the evolving financial and economic arrangements in both closed and open economies. Besides, the economic analysis is used to evaluate current developments and the financial news, challenging the students to use financial data and to either think critically about the interpretations of current events or predict future events. It basically go through the textbook chapter by chapter.
