The intent of this course is to bridge the gap between engineering theory and practice. Students will be exposed to various aspects involved in designing a chemical process. A broad range of topics such as development of process flowsheet, equipment design, process economics, and control and safety issues will be discussed in the context of a comprehensive design project.
