大數據實務課程,使學生了解大數據技術在實務上的應用及產業界的最新趨勢,並可以使用大數據的相關技術做數據的探勘分析及數據相關工程。
企業利用大數據分析的結果來精進公司的營運已成為一種趨勢。在學術界---特別是應用數學系---與大數據分析相關的學理課程，包括機率學、數理統計學、微積分、線性代數等，誠然奠定了處理數據所需的科學方法與邏輯思維之基礎。但只有科學方法與邏輯思維尚不足以應付企業實際產生的大量、多樣、且複雜的資料，本課程目的在讓同學了解企業處理數據的軟硬體架構，以及相關工具的使用。課程將以任務導向的方式，將這些軟硬體架構，以工具的使用，分階段以教師介紹與同學自學的方式交錯進行，課程的最後目的是讓同學完成一個真實數據處理專案。

The big data practical course enables students to understand the practical application of big data technology and the latest trends in the industry, and can use big data-related technologies to do data exploration analysis and data-related projects.
It has become a trend for enterprises to use the results of big data analysis to improve company operations. In academia - especially the Department of Applied Mathematics - academic courses related to big data analysis, including probability, mathematical statistics, calculus, linear algebra, etc., have indeed laid the foundation for scientific methods and logical thinking required to process data. However, only scientific methods and logical thinking are not enough to cope with the large, diverse, and complex data actually produced by enterprises. The purpose of this course is to let students understand the software and hardware architecture of enterprises for processing data, as well as the use of related tools. The course will be conducted in a task-oriented manner, interweaving the use of these software and hardware architectures with tools, through teacher introduction and student self-study in stages. The final goal of the course is to allow students to complete a real data processing project.
