企業利用大數據分析的結果來精進公司的營運已成為一種趨勢。在學術界---特別是應用數學系---與大數據分析相關的學理課程,包括機率學、數理統計學、微積分、線性代數等,誠然奠定了處理數據所需的科學方法與邏輯思維之基礎。但只有科學方法與邏輯思維尚不足以應付企業實際產生的大量、多樣、且複雜的資料,本課程目的在讓同學了解企業處理數據的軟硬體架構,以及相關工具的使用。課程將以任務導向的方式,將這些軟硬體架構,以工具的使用,分階段以教師介紹與同學自學的方式交錯進行,課程的最後目的是讓同學完成一個真實數據處理專案。Large data practical courses enable students to understand the practical application of large data technology and the latest trends in the industry, and can use large data related technologies to perform data exploration and analysis and data related engineering.
