計算機在我們現今（一直到未來）是日常生活中相當重要角色。計算機科學相較於其它學科是屬於比較新的學科，持續在發展當中。本課程中計畫讓學生學習到資訊科技的核心知識、實務之應用以及最新的發展。學習內容包括：電腦的演進、數字系統、資料表示法、電腦硬體及軟體、作業系統、資訊系統、電腦網路、演算法、程式語言發展史、程式設計概念、人工智慧等等，是以鳥瞰方式來提供學生知識並幫助學生了解計算機科學的發展。
