海洋是一個廣大的生物資源和生態環境，同時是生命的起源也孕育了高度的生物種類．不幸的是人類過度的使用及破壞，許多的海洋生物和其棲息環境已經大幅度的減少．本課程會介紹基本的海洋環境現階段所遭遇的問題和目前管理方式．修課同學將會分配許多近幾年的海洋保育議題和研究實例，進行分組報告和討論．
