本課程之開授旨在引導學生欣賞小說名著，認識中國古典短篇小說的形式演變、時代特徵、主題源流、敘事藝術，且觸及該短篇小說與朝代社會、文化、思想之關係，期許透過作品選讀和分析，培養學生擁有獨立詮釋作品的審美能力，由此熟悉中國古典短篇小說的特點與中國傳統文化、思想的內容。

This course is designed to guide students to appreciate classic novels and understand the evolution of Chinese classical short stories, era characteristics, theme origins, and narrative art. It also touches on the relationship between short stories and dynasty society, culture, and ideas. It is expected that through the selection and analysis of works, students will develop the aesthetic ability to independently interpret works, thereby becoming familiar with the characteristics of Chinese classical short stories and the content of traditional Chinese culture and thought.
