0005 - 戲劇設計 Theater Design


教育目標 Course Target

文學院文創學程既有課程裡與戲劇相關課程包括:戲劇賞析,戲劇創作與戲劇展演三門課。戲劇除了劇本的創作之外,尚包括劇場設計這一個範疇;劇場設計長期以來是劇場藝術裡深受關注的一個創作面向,不僅作為評論一齣劇場演出並存的重要內涵,劇場設計亦可獨立出來成為一個藝術作品,作為一種衍生自劇本、從戲劇延伸而成的藝術創作。例如四年一屆的世界劇場設計展(World Stage Design, WSD),正是關注於「劇場設計師」的藝術家、創作者身份,將其所創作出的「戲劇相關設計」做為展示對象。 開設「戲劇設計」這門課程的初衷,是希望將校內既有的戲劇相關課程做進一步的延伸。東海同時擁有美術、建築、景觀、工設等多個相關設計科系,這些學生除了自己本身專業課程之外,也經常修習文學院各種課程,以之作為豐富思考與自身創作可能的底蘊。戲劇設計希望結合不同科系的學生進行共同創作,將劇本內涵與劇場條件作為課程的知識基礎,進而引導學生以劇本為創作靈感,發展出訴諸於視覺的「戲劇設計」。 課程名稱不直接定位為「劇場設計」而是「戲劇設計」的原因,是希望在進入到專業的劇場設計(舞台設計、服裝設計、燈光設計、技術設計)之前,我們將先從「文字與物件、影像」,「戲劇內容與情境設計」,「空間亦是一種展演」等內涵作為各種創作的可能,讓同學得以在這門課程裡有更多大膽的發想。 本課程將由中文系與美術系老師合授,引導學生從戲劇解讀、劇本創作、何謂劇場等課題入門,並介紹各種可能的創作媒材與表現形式,讓學生在課程最後能創作出實際的「戲劇設計」並進行展出。這些戲劇設計或者作為一種獨立的藝術創作與展演,亦可與其他戲劇課程搭配,作為戲劇演出的實際場景,或者也能開啟校內學生對於未來創作與工作時另一種可能的選項。 The existing courses and related courses of the Literature Creation School include: drama analysis, drama creation and drama performance. In addition to the creation of the script, drama also includes the scope of drama design; drama design has long been a creative aspect of drama art. It is not only used as an important connotation for evaluating a drama performance, but also as an art work that can be independently developed into an art work as an art creation derived from the drama and extended from the drama. For example, the World Stage Design (WSD) which is one of four years is the artist and creator who focuses on the "drama designer" and uses the "drama-related design" he created as the display object. The original intention of opening the "Drama Design" course is to further extend the existing drama-related courses on campus. Donghai also has many related design departments such as art, architecture, landscape, and engineering. In addition to their own professional courses, these students also often take various courses in the Literature Academy, using them as a foundation for enriching thinking and their own creative possibilities. Drama Design hopes to combine students from different departments to create together, use the connotation and stage conditions of the play as the knowledge base of the course, and thus guide students to use the play as the creative spirit and develop "drama design" that is complained about. The reason why the course name is not directly positioned as "scene design" but "scene design" is that we hope that before entering professional theater design (stage design, clothing design, lighting design, technical design), we will first use "text and objects, images", "scene content and situational design", "space is also an exhibition" and other contents as various creative possibilities, so that students can have more thoughts in this course. This course will be taught by teachers from the Chinese Department and the Department of Arts. It will guide students to enter the topics such as drama interpretation, script creation, and drama scene, and introduce various possible creative media and expression forms, so that students can create an actual "drama design" at the end of the course and exhibit it. These dramas are designed as an independent artistic creation and exhibition, or can be combined with other drama courses as an actual scene for drama performances, or can also open up another possible option for on-campus students in future creation and work.
