Chinese culture and social work

教育目標 Course Target

我國社會工作知識基礎源於西方,重視「人與環境」互動。環境不同,人行為的理解也大不相同。因此,無論就專業價值、相應倫理、行為變遷知識的移植採借,乃至具體實務技巧的學習仿效,都不能不考量我們所置身的華人社會文化脈絡。其中,對於我是誰、人我之間的團體與社會行為、諸如信仰、衝突、生活適應問題的處理、有關家庭成員彼此關係的看法、乃至人際互動與資源公正分配的觀點,都值得作為人文社會科學一員的我們所深自省視與關切。
本課程是項邀請,也是個開始。我們邀請對學做人、學做事,對我們文化中重人情、講面子、看關係、求果報、隨緣分、信命運、…、愛護弱小、敬老尊賢、四維八德等…有興趣的;不滿足目前僅從表面理解西方社會公平、參與、民主、自由、尊重、保密、自決等概念下所建構出的問題解決方法、模式和理論的同學們,一起參與這項課程。我們希望透過相關主題的彼此分享與討論,可以對我們所身處社會的人和事有著更多的體會和瞭解,更期待這樣的討論可以引發大家的興趣,從而使我們在日後實務場域操作中,可以人情練達、處事圓融的提供更順暢、更有效、更接地氣和人氣的專業服務。

The knowledge base of social work in my country originates from the West and attaches great importance to the interaction between "people and the environment". The environment is different, and the understanding of human behavior is also very different. Therefore, whether it is the transplantation and borrowing of professional values, corresponding ethics, behavioral change knowledge, or even the learning and imitation of specific practical skills, we must consider the Chinese social and cultural context in which we live. Among them, the views on who I am, the group and social behaviors between people, such as beliefs, conflicts, the treatment of life adaptation problems, views on the relationship between family members, and even views on interpersonal interactions and fair distribution of resources, are all worthy of deep self-examination and concern by us as members of the humanities and social sciences.
This course is an invitation and a beginning. We invite students who are interested in learning how to be a person and doing things, and who are interested in learning about human relationships, respecting face, looking at relationships, seeking retribution, following fate, believing in fate,... caring for the weak, respecting the elderly and the virtuous, the four-dimensional virtues, etc. in our culture; students who are not satisfied with the current problem-solving methods, models and theories constructed based on the concepts of fairness, participation, democracy, freedom, respect, confidentiality, and self-determination in Western societies, which are only superficially understood, to participate in this course. We hope that through mutual sharing and discussion of related topics, we can gain more experience and understanding of the people and things in the society we live in. We also hope that such discussions can arouse everyone's interest, so that in future practical field operations, we can provide smoother, more effective, more down-to-earth and popular professional services in a humane and smooth manner.
