每周由修課和旁聽同學輪流導讀，每位同學皆需繳交一頁以內的reaction paper（https://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Reaction-Paper），請在該週上課日中午十二點之前上傳至本課的臉書群組。這部分的表現佔總成績50%。
此外，請同學儘早擇定可進行參與觀察、隨機訪談、深度訪談的田野場址（field site），我們將自第三週起進行研究實作，並逐次繳交實作或分析報告。同樣，請在該週上課日中午十二點之前上傳至本課的臉書群組。隨著本課的進程，請逐漸積累整合你的資料與分析，並發展問題意識，再於課堂預定時間和期末進行報告。這部分的表現佔總成績50%。

Course Requirements and Grading Criteria
Each week, students taking the course and auditing the course will take turns to lead the reading. Each student is required to submit a reaction paper (https://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Reaction-Paper) within one page. Please upload it to the Facebook group of this class before 12 noon on the class day of that week. The performance in this part accounts for 50% of the total grade.
In addition, students are asked to select a field site where participant observation, random interviews, and in-depth interviews can be conducted as early as possible. We will conduct research implementation from the third week and submit implementation or analysis reports one by one. Again, please upload to this class's Facebook group before 12 noon on the school day that week. As this lesson progresses, please gradually accumulate and integrate your data and analysis, and develop problem awareness, and then report it at the scheduled time in class and at the end of the period. 質化研究是一門社會科學領域常用的研究方法論課程，本課程介紹餐旅領域常使用之質化研究方法的觀點與研究過程，以文本分析研究為主認識質化研究特質，詮釋典範的相關觀點、量化與質化研究差異、質性研究企劃過程、資料收集方法及技巧、研究倫理、寫作方式等；並協助同學選擇碩士論文主題、找出問題意識、整理文獻、擬出研究架構，撰寫研究大綱、並執行質化研究過程。

Qualitative research is a commonly used research methodology course in the field of social sciences. This course introduces the viewpoints and research processes of qualitative research methods commonly used in the field of hospitality and hospitality. It focuses on text analysis research to understand the characteristics of qualitative research, and interprets relevant viewpoints, quantification and qualitativeization of examples. Research differences, qualitative research planning process, data collection methods and techniques, research ethics, writing methods, etc.; and assist students in selecting master's thesis topics, identifying problem awareness, organizing literature, formulating a research structure, writing a research outline, and executing the qualitative research process.
