本課程目的在介紹電子商務的定義、內容、演進、發展，如何善於運用電子商務改變工作方式與競爭方式，思考電子商務創新經營模式、效益、限制、風險、相關議題，實際動手建構雛型系統，體驗電子商務功能及發展策略；說明與電子商務相關之架構模式,現況應用與未來發發展,提昇學生們電子商務之學理與應用知識。

The purpose of this course is to introduce the definition, content, evolution and development of e-commerce, how to be good at using e-commerce to change the way of working and competition, and to think about the innovative business model, benefits, limitations, risks and correlations of e-commerce. Topics include hands-on construction of a prototype system and experience of e-commerce functions and development strategies; explanations of e-commerce-related architectural models, current applications and future developments, to enhance students' academic and applied knowledge of e-commerce.

電子商務，它代表了在網路上進行並完成的交易程序。但電子商務不只是買賣的行為，亦包含電子化的溝通、協同，及探索、發現相關資源程序，同時也涉及電子化學習、電子化政府等應用。電子商務改變了商業活動及各種作業模式，對於人類的生活也將有深遠的影響。

E-commerce represents transactions conducted and completed on the Internet. However, e-commerce is not only the act of buying and selling, but also includes electronic communication, collaboration, and procedures for exploring and discovering related resources. It also involves applications such as e-learning and e-government. E-commerce has changed business activities and various operating models, and will also have a profound impact on human life.
