臺灣四面環海皆位於熱帶亞熱帶地區，海洋資源豐富。海洋淺海地區及海岸的生態系，如：濕地、紅樹林及珊瑚礁等都是海洋重要的研究場所。本課程在介紹基礎海洋生態系調查，並且透過文獻閱讀來了解目前的研究方向，最後學生將進行實驗設計並在野外進行調查和資料分析及論文撰寫。今年預計利用週五及週末（三天）行程去墾丁野外進行田野調查。因此需要有游泳能力，有浮潛和潛水經驗為佳。

Taiwan is surrounded by sea and is located in tropical and subtropical areas, with abundant marine resources. Marine shallow sea areas and coastal ecosystems, such as wetlands, mangroves and coral reefs, are important marine research sites. This course introduces basic marine ecosystem surveys and understands current research directions through literature reading. Finally, students will conduct experimental design, conduct surveys and data analysis in the field, and write papers. This year, we plan to use Fridays and weekends (three days) to go to Kenting for fieldwork. Therefore, you need to be able to swim, and experience in snorkeling and diving is preferred.
