一、「乞丐歌劇」（Ballad Opera, Beggar's Opera）——「音樂劇」的源頭，從巴洛克時期的英國倫敦開始。
二、「輕歌劇」(Operetta)——十九世紀的浪漫時期中，奧芬巴哈（J. OffenBach）及其他作曲家寫出規模較小、音樂較為輕快、寫實的平民歌劇，這種優美通俗的旋律便很快地在法國及奧地利的維也納等地方流行著，我們稱它為「輕歌劇」。重要曲目包括奧芬巴哈的《天堂與地獄》，小約翰史特勞斯的《蝙蝠》，雷哈爾的《風流寡婦》等輕歌劇。
三、「表演音樂」——在十九世紀末期時，各國的比較輕鬆自在的表演音樂也都開始呈現出自己獨立的風格。巴黎的《吉兒咖啡館》，英國的民間酒館中，美國黑人的街頭表演音樂也影響了在紐約誕生音樂劇。
四、「歌舞喜劇」（Musical Comedy）——大約在二十世紀初，美國的演藝事業開始流行了所謂的「歌舞喜劇」，直到1927年，《畫舫璇宮Show Boat》正式揭開近代音樂劇場發展的序幕，漸漸地發展出現在「音樂劇」（Musical）的表演型式。
五、「音樂劇Musical」——本學期將依年代介紹世界著名之音樂劇作品，包括：
The Wizard of Oz綠野仙蹤、Singin in the Rain萬花嬉春、The Fiddler On The Roof屋頂上的提琴手、The Sound of Music真善美、Les Miserables悲慘世界、Rent吉屋出租、Jesus Christ the Superstar萬世巨星。
六、表演與創作：分表演組（音樂、戲劇、舞蹈）與創作組（舞台、服裝化妝、燈光設計），採課堂團體教學及課外分組輔導方式。

1. "Ballad Opera, Beggar's Opera" - the origin of "musical theater", which began in London, England during the Baroque period.
2. "Operetta" - During the romantic period of the 19th century, J. Offenbach and other composers wrote small-scale folk operas with lighter music and realistic music. This beautiful and popular melody quickly became popular in places such as France and Vienna, Austria. We call it "operetta". Important repertoire includes Offenbach's "Heaven and Hell", Johann Strauss Jr.'s "Bat", Rehar's "The Merry Widow" and other operettas.
3. "Performance Music" - At the end of the 19th century, the more relaxed and comfortable performance music of various countries began to show their own independent styles. "Café Gill" in Paris, British folk pubs, and African American street performance music also influenced the birth of musicals in New York.
4. "Musical Comedy" - Around the beginning of the 20th century, the so-called "Musical Comedy" became popular in American entertainment industry. It was not until 1927 that "Show Boat" officially opened the prelude to the development of modern musical theater, and gradually developed the performance type that appeared in "Musical".
5. "Musical" - This semester will introduce world-famous musical works according to the time, including:
The Wizard of Oz, Singin in the Rain, The Fiddler On The Roof, The Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Rent, Jesus Christ the Superstar.
6. Performance and creation: divided into performance group (music, drama, dance) and creative group (stage, costume and makeup, lighting design), using classroom group teaching and extracurricular group tutoring.
