本課程藉由讓學生設計與演示科學實驗的過程,讓同學們統整已修習過的科學知識。課程中的每個演示經由學生自己的構思,討論並實際演示的過程有助於激發學生對科學的興趣並深化學生的學習。而且能培養學生獨立思考與解決問題的能力。
(1)觀摩現有的”演示實驗”:藉由現有的資源(本系的教具與網路資源)的觀摩讓學生明白演示實驗該具有的”元素”與”特質”。培養學生”認真觀察”的能力。
(2)現有的”演示實驗”的操作與評析:藉由討論來分析現有的演示實驗的優點與弱處,培養學生觀察,發問與評析的能力。
(3)設計新的演示實驗:由學生擇定主題可以改進現有的實驗也可以設計全新的演示實驗。
(4)演示實驗的驗收:藉由實際的展示操作驗證學生的成果。一方面也能訓練學生的表達能力與回應問題的能力。
此課程的學習不在於學生的物理程度好不好, 在於幫助學生釐清自己的科學知識程度並藉由"教"的過程提升自己的科學素養.This course allows students to organize the scientific knowledge they have already studied by allowing students to design and demonstrate scientific experiments.
