教育目標 Course Target
本課程的主要目的在於介紹現代土地使用規劃與管制的基本理念、思想與模式。讓學生知道什麼是理想的土地管理、環境景觀規劃、城鄉規劃。期望他(她)在上課或未來從事實際專業工作時,能夠知道什麼是理想的土地使用模式,以營造良好品質的城鄉生活環境。規劃的重點不在於發展出一套樣版式的規劃程序模式,而是在於先培養出一個理想的規劃理念與願景。正如耶魯大學校長理查·萊文(Richard Charles Levin)所說:真正的教育不傳授任何知識和技能,卻能令人勝任任何學科和職業。所以本課程不在於教導學生有關土地使用規劃與管制的方法與技術,而在於介紹學生有關土地使用規劃與管制的基本理念與想法。因為方法與技術是會隨著時間改變的,而理念與想法是會傳之久遠的。
The main purpose of this course is to introduce the basic concepts, ideas and models of modern land use planning and control. Let students know what ideal land management, environmental landscape planning, and urban and rural planning are. It is expected that when he or she takes classes or engages in practical professional work in the future, he or she will be able to know what is the ideal land use model to create a good quality urban and rural living environment. The focus of planning is not to develop a set of standard planning procedures, but to first cultivate an ideal planning concept and vision. As Yale University President Richard Charles Levin said: Real education does not impart any knowledge or skills, but can make people competent in any subject and occupation. Therefore, this course is not intended to teach students about the methods and techniques of land use planning and control, but to introduce students to the basic concepts and ideas about land use planning and control. Because methods and techniques will change over time, while concepts and ideas will be passed down for a long time.
