本課程主要著重在學習與探索數位媒材在建築設計上的各種表現技巧與原則，透過3D應用軟體(SketchUp, 3ds Max)及其他數位工具(Photoshop, Illustrator)的混合運用練習，以及系統性地引介當代建築師如何運用數位表現法的設計案例，讓修課同學熟悉基本數位技法和溝通原則來整體呈現建築設計概念、過程以及結果，修課學生須先具備AutoCAD 2D繪圖的基本能力；另外，課程最後也試圖引介當今建築專業領域中，電腦輔助設計與製造(CAD/CAM)如參數式設計(Parametric Design)、數位構築方法(Digital Fabrication Process)與運算式設計(Algorithmic Design)等的新發展趨勢，如何影響新建築形式的探索與實踐。

This course mainly focuses on learning and exploring various performance techniques and principles of digital media in architectural design, through 3D application software (SketchUp, 3ds Max) and other digital tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) and a systematic introduction to design cases on how contemporary architects use digital representation to familiarize students with basic digital techniques and communication principles to present architectural design concepts, processes and results as a whole. Students taking this course must first possess AutoCAD The basic ability of 2D drawing; in addition, the course finally attempts to introduce the new development trends of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) such as parametric design (Parametric Design), digital fabrication process (Digital Fabrication Process) and algorithmic design (Algorithmic Design) in today's architectural professional field, and how they affect the exploration and practice of new architectural forms.
