In terms of literature, reading covers Lu Xun's prose, novels and essays. In terms of time, it included Lu Xun's verbal writing until about 1926. The writings for the next ten years (1927-1936) may be held in another class. The purpose of this course is to enhance our initial understanding of Lu Xun, a very important thinker and literary scholar in modern China, who is a very important figure in modern China, his works, and his era.
