本課程以現在進入實用化階段之人工智能（AI）為研究對象（亦即由機械來從事人類所使用的智能之人工智能，包含深度學習之機械學習科技在內），探討相關之法律問題。現階段實用化之人工智能，已對社會帶來不小的衝擊，且成為社會及產業變革之強大動力。在今後的社會中，人工智能之進化、普及，現已勢不可擋，但經驗的教訓告訴我們，許多有益技術的普及，往往不顧其可能招致的結果，因此，應如何解決使用人工智能所可能引發之法律問題，如何使人工智能之進化、普及圓滑前進，應如何適切利用人工智能等問題，實值吾人用心思考。

This course takes artificial intelligence (AI), which is now entering the practical stage, as the research object (that is, artificial intelligence that uses machines to perform intelligence used by humans, including machine learning technology such as deep learning), and explores related legal issues. The current stage of practical artificial intelligence has brought considerable impact to society and has become a powerful driving force for social and industrial change. In the future society, the evolution and popularization of artificial intelligence are now unstoppable. However, experience and lessons tell us that the popularization of many beneficial technologies is often regardless of the possible consequences. Therefore, how to solve the legal issues that may arise from the use of artificial intelligence, how to make the evolution and popularization of artificial intelligence progress smoothly, and how to make appropriate use of artificial intelligence are worthy of our careful consideration.
