本課程的目標在引導同學了解都市設計的操作方法及都市設計研究的議題，課程分為兩大部分：
一、 都市設計操作：包括 1.都市設計元素與面向，2.設計方法，3.實例操作。
二、都市設計研究：包括 1. 都市設計文獻閱讀，2.都市設計理論，3.都市設計研究提案

The purpose of this course is to guide students to understand the operating methods of urban design and the topics of urban design research. The course is divided into two parts:
1. Urban design operations: including 1. Urban design elements and orientations, 2. Design methods, 3. Example operations.
2. Urban design research: including 1. Urban design literature reading, 2. Urban design theory, 3. Urban design research proposals
