Thesis Writing (II)

教育目標 Course Target

本課程是寫作工作坊,立基於授課者相對較熟悉的質性與量性學術論文的寫作經驗與竅門下,希冀讓參與者在這個工作坊中得以邊做邊學,掌握碩士論文和期刊論文寫作的知識與技藝。
本工作坊為博碩士生共同參與,我們將在掌握參與者的研究寫作經驗、論文題目和進度的基礎上,針對性地進行分組、回應不同學習階段的需求。

參與門檻分別是:
碩士生:
1.已有指導教授
2.已有碩論題目且預計於本學年繳交碩論 proposal
博士生:
1.已有指導教授
2.已有博論題目且預計於本學年繳交博論 proposal

3.已有論文題目並預計於本學年發表於學術研討會

參與者必須閱讀相關指定教材,按照進度繳交5份Memo,參與討論,期末產出一份研究計畫書,並於期末考週舉辦的成果發表會報告和接受評論。
課程希望達成的目標是,讓參與者在學期結束後成為一位較成熟的研究者,有能力在一分鐘內用口頭說明清楚論文研究主題和問題意識,在15分鐘的ppt簡報中闡明研究計畫主要內容、研究發問與研究設計,並能讀懂其他人的研究計畫、與之進行討論。

This course is a writing workshop, based on the instructor's relatively familiar experience and tips in writing qualitative and quantitative academic papers. It is hoped that participants can learn by doing in this workshop and master the knowledge and skills of writing master's theses and journal articles.
This workshop is for doctoral and master's students. We will group participants in a targeted manner to respond to the needs of different learning stages on the basis of understanding the participants' research writing experience, paper topics and progress.

The participation thresholds are:
Master students:
1. Already have a supervisor
2. Already have a master's thesis topic and are expected to submit a master's thesis proposal this academic year
Doctoral students:
1. Already have a supervisor
2. Already have a dissertation topic and are expected to submit a dissertation proposal this academic year
or
3. Already have a thesis title and are expected to publish it in an academic seminar this academic year

Participants must read the relevant designated teaching materials, submit 5 memos according to the progress, participate in discussions, produce a research proposal at the end of the semester, and report and accept comments at the results presentation meeting held during the final exam week.
The goal of the course is to enable participants to become a more mature researcher after the semester, with the ability to verbally explain the research topic and problem awareness of the thesis within one minute, to explain the main content of the research plan, research questions and research design in a 15-minute ppt presentation, and to be able to understand other people's research plans and discuss them with them.
