針對政治學中主要的領域及其研究作廣泛介紹，除了對現階段政治理論作批判外，也介紹現階段的各種研究方法以及新的研究發展方向。本課程除了可以豐富學生的研究視野，也可以奠定研究的基礎。除了讓學生瞭解目前研究的主要潮流外，對於學生將來研究的定向，也具有指標性和引導性。

二、主要內容 :
　　本課程的目標是讓博士生對政治學的發展有初步和進階的認識與理解，以培育學術研究與政治學教學的專長。因此除了對目前政治學研究的現況進行廣泛的介紹外，也深入的討論未來的發展與方向。內容包括：一、研究典範變遷與轉移；二、政治行為與行動；三、發展研究的演進；四、憲政制度與運作；五、全球與地方治理；六、巨量資料與政治學研究等。

2. Main content:
The goal of this course is to provide doctoral students with a preliminary and advanced knowledge and understanding of the development of political science, so as to cultivate expertise in academic research and political science teaching. The contents include: 1. Changes and transfers of research paradigms; 2. Political behavior and actions; 3. Evolution of development research; 4. Constitutional system and operation; 5. Global and local governance; 6. Massive data and political science research, etc.
