19世紀末至今，現象學（phenomenology）蔚為西方流行的哲學思潮。狹義上，現象學指德國哲學家胡塞爾（E. Edmund Husserl，1859～1938）創立的哲學流派或重要學派。而由胡塞爾、舍勒和海德格所構成的德國當代現象學對當西方哲學影響早已不僅止於德國或歐陸。
基於本學期上課時間，本課程選擇胡塞爾和海德格現象學作為授課範圍，透過原典之研讀與討論來瞭解當代德國現象學運動，以及胡塞爾和海德格之現象學方法，並比較二者。

From the end of the 19th century to the present, phenomenology has become a popular philosophical trend in the West. In a narrow sense, phenomenology refers to the philosophical school or important school founded by the German philosopher E. Edmund Husserl (1859-1938). The influence of contemporary German phenomenology composed of Husserl, Scheler and Heidegger on contemporary Western philosophy is no longer limited to Germany or Europe.
Based on the class time of this semester, this course chooses the phenomenology of Husserl and Heidegger as the teaching scope. Through the study and discussion of original texts, we will understand the contemporary German phenomenological movement, as well as the phenomenological methods of Husserl and Heidegger, and compare the two.
