《紅樓夢》作為中國古典小說的壓箱鉅作,其匯融著詩意與俚俗,自問世以來影響眾多文學愛好者,表現出「經典」是可以通過時間檢證且其本身也具有耐讀性。本課程設計以喜愛「細讀經典原著」之學生為授課對象,作為經典課程,教師將引導修課學生對經典進行全面的掌握,且以細膩閱讀和精讀為首要重點。
作家張愛玲即自陳深受《紅樓夢》與《金瓶梅》這兩部「世情」長篇的影響,白先勇先生認為《紅樓夢》絕對是偉大的世界文學名著之一,此書之於創作者所提供的重要意義不言而喻;對尚未接觸此書之一般閱讀者,在觸摸此文學鉅著前請做好心理準備:課程中勢將面對龐大的章回小說架構和文字內容,之間有著眾多人物關係與複雜的情節線,這些都是課程討論和對話的根源。此部以「世情」為主基調的長篇章回,作者曹雪芹擅於寫出的正是兼含現實社會中各層級生活的日常,以及人類普遍共通的人世之情,所以如果以「生活」及「情感」這兩個本質來看,古典作品所敘述的世界實際上便離我們沒那麼遙遠。「情」之一字,是我們與書中人重要的共性及閱讀路徑,那也讓我們可以用立足現世的生命經驗和生活基底來回望經典,以現代眼光和個人類似的生命情境進行議題審視和反思,故我們所期許「經典」之最終深意,應可契入於個體之心靈、生命與生活才是。
此作品猶如百科全書式的文化內涵,於課程安排上除了就其主題思想、人物類型、物質文化及形式結構有所認識,即透過經典自身全面揭示其審美意趣,亦將從史學縱深面闡釋何以形成「紅學」、以及其在中國小說史的獨特意義。
"A Dream of Red Mansions" is a masterpiece of Chinese classical novels. It blends poetry and folk customs. It has influenced many literary lovers since its publication, showing that "classics" can pass the test of time and are also readable. This course is designed to target students who love "close reading of original classics." As a classic course, teachers will guide students to comprehensively master classics, with careful reading and intensive reading as the primary focus.
The writer Zhang Ailing has been deeply influenced by the two novels "A Dream of Red Mansions" and "Jin Ping Mei". Mr. Bai Xianyong believes that "A Dream of Red Mansions" is definitely one of the great masterpieces of world literature. The importance of this book to the creator is self-evident; for Shang Shang General readers who have never encountered this book should be mentally prepared before touching this literary masterpiece: in the course, they will inevitably face a huge chapter novel structure and text content, with many character relationships and complex plot lines. These are the source of course discussions and dialogues. This long chapter is based on "the feelings of the world". The author Cao Xueqin is good at writing about the daily life at all levels in the real society, as well as the universal feelings of the world. Therefore, if we look at the two essences of "life" and "emotion", the world described in the classical works is actually not that far away from us. The word "love" is an important commonality and reading path between us and the people in the book. It also allows us to look back at the classics based on our life experience and life foundation in this world, and to examine and reflect on the issues from a modern perspective and personal life situations similar to those of others. Therefore, we hope that the ultimate meaning of the "classics" should be able to penetrate into the individual's mind, life and life.
This work is like an encyclopedic cultural connotation. In addition to understanding its theme, character types, material culture and formal structure, the course arrangement not only fully reveals its aesthetic interest through the classics themselves, but also explains from a historical perspective how "Redology" was formed and its unique significance in the history of Chinese novels.
課程概述 Course Description
通識課程不同於專業課程,實乃著重引導學生主動關懷、探索與實踐人類的終極價值與智慧;同時通識課程所提供的知識,不是專業課程的淺薄化,而是具有厚實感的基礎知識。本校根據創校傳統、校訓與辦學理念訂定通識教育定四大基本素養:求真素養、篤信素養、力行素養與宏通素養,以具體落實本校通識教育之理想。希望本校學生能發揮自主學習精神,在通識課程老師的引導下,逐漸培養其通識教育基本素養,並期待能終身學習。各種基本素養並訂有具體的學習成效指標,以做教學與學習成效之自我檢證的具體指標,分述如下:求真素養(自然領域):1.學習自然科學的方法或哲學以探索物理與生命世界的微妙,2.發揮就事論事的精神,3.能參與科學議題相關的公共事務。篤信素養(人文領域):1.學習人文精神以探索內在自我與領會人類文明的深層價值,2.發展自律精神,3.能運用理性進行道德推理。力行素養(社會領域):1.運用社會科學的方法或哲學以激發學生的傾聽與溝通能力,2.承認與尊重多元差,3.實踐民主審議的精神。宏通素養(跨領域):1.追求人類的整體價值,2.融通求真、篤信、力行等素養於個人生命之中。各領域的課程對於學習成效指標可以跨選,不必拘泥。
General courses are different from professional courses. They actually focus on guiding students to actively care for, explore and practice the ultimate value and wisdom of mankind. At the same time, the knowledge provided by general courses is not the superficiality of professional courses, but basic knowledge with a solid sense. Based on the school’s founding tradition, school motto and school philosophy, the school has formulated four basic qualities for general education: truth-seeking quality, belief quality, practical quality and general quality, in order to concretely implement the school’s ideals of general education. We hope that our students can develop their independent learning spirit and gradually develop their basic literacy in general education under the guidance of general education teachers, and look forward to lifelong learning. Various basic competencies have specific learning effectiveness indicators for self-examination of teaching and learning effectiveness, which are described as follows: Truth-seeking literacy (natural field): 1. Learn the methods or philosophy of natural science to explore the subtleties of the physical and life world, 2. Use the spirit of discussing things as they are, 3. Be able to participate in public affairs related to scientific issues. Belief literacy (humanities field): 1. Learn the humanistic spirit to explore the inner self and understand the deep value of human civilization, 2. Develop a spirit of self-discipline, 3. Be able to use reason for moral reasoning. Practical literacy (social field): 1. Use social science methods or philosophy to stimulate students' listening and communication skills, 2. Recognize and respect diversity, 3. Practice the spirit of democratic deliberation. Hongtong literacy (cross-field): 1. Pursue the overall value of human beings, 2. Integrate qualities such as truth-seeking, faith, and practice into personal life. Courses in various fields can choose from different learning outcome indicators, so there is no need to be rigid.
