使修課同學瞭解幾何學在文明發展中所扮演的角色,認識相關幾何概念的源起、方法與應用,並能從文明、邏輯與美感三個面向來融通過去所學的數學知識。而學習到數學嚴謹的思考模式與方法,亦為本課程的重要目標。課程中也將透過分組討論、學習與發表,希望培養修課同學溝通與科學敘事的能力。課程內容設計將以兼顧歷史素材與基本理論及應用的介紹,為定位於傳統數學專業課程與數學類通識課程之間的專業通識課程。Let students in the course understand the role played by what learning plays in the development of civilization, understand the origin, methods and applications of related concepts, and integrate the mathematical knowledge learned in the past from the three aspects of civilization, logic and aesthetics. Learning the serious thinking patterns and methods of mathematics is also an important goal of this course. During the course, we will also discuss, learn and publish through sub-group discussions, hoping to cultivate the ability of students in the course to communicate and scientific affairs. The course content design will combine historical materials and basic theories and applications to be a professional general course positioned between the traditional mathematics professional course and the mathematical general course.
