臺灣位處亞洲大陸與太平洋的銜接處，歷史上有許多不同族群遷居此地，這些移民尤以來自福建漳泉兩府的閩南人為最多，因而閩南文化構成今日臺灣多元文化社會的重要一環。閩南文化雖以中原文化為主體，卻富含明顯的邊緣型態，形塑閩南人冒險犯難，勇於向外發展的特質，而能在海外華商網絡的建構中，扮演重要角色。本課程將從歷史脈絡中追溯閩南文化的淵源與特質，進而分析探討閩南人的社經發展與海外移殖的歷史，以提升學生對於構成臺灣多元文化一環之閩南文化的認知，引導學生以小見大，除增進對臺灣多元文化的認知，也能更深入探索內在自我與領會人類文明的深層價值，且能培養學生尊重、欣賞多元文化的能力。

Taiwan is located in the intersection of the Asian continent and the Pacific Ocean. There are many different ethnic groups living here in history. These immigrants are especially the most of the people from the two prefectures of Zhangzhou and Quanzhou in Fujian. Therefore, the cultural structure of the Minnan culture has become an important part of Taiwan's multicultural society today. Although the Minnan culture is mainly based on Central Plains culture, it is rich in distinct edge shapes, shaping the Minnan people's offense and courage to develop outside, and can play an important role in the construction of overseas Chinese networks. This course will trace the origin and characteristics of Minnan culture from the historical structure, and then analyze and explore the history of social development and overseas migration of Minnan people, so as to improve students' understanding of Minnan culture that forms a diverse culture in Taiwan, and guide students to see the big picture with small things. In addition to increasing their understanding of Taiwan's diverse culture, they can also explore the deep value of inner self and leading human civilization, and cultivate students' ability to respect and appreciate multiculturalism.
