規劃是一門整合與處理各類空間資訊的科學。規劃的決策仰賴有效地處理多種來源的資料,並利用分析工具以視覺化的方式協助資料的呈現更加清晰與明確,讓受眾能快速了解資料的意涵。規劃處理的各項空間元素都具有空間標記的特質,因此規劃的空間分析與模擬需要能靈活運用地理資訊(GIS)知識與技巧。運用ArcGIS支援規劃時需要能判別ArcGIS功能與實際景觀議題之間的關聯,本門課配合規劃面臨實際的規劃與空間分析議題,增加修課者運用ArcGIS進行空間分析之能力。Planning is a science that integrates and processes various types of space information. Planning decisions rely on efficiently processing data from multiple sources, and use analysis tools to facilitate the presentation of data in a visual way, so that the audience can quickly understand the meaning of the data. The spatial elements processed by the planning all have the characteristics of space tags, so the spatial analysis and simulation of the planning requires the ability to use geographic information (GIS) knowledge and skills in a flexible manner. When using ArcGIS to support planning, you need to be able to distinguish the relationship between ArcGIS function and actual landscape topics. This course cooperates with the planning to face actual planning and space analysis topics, and increase the ability of students to use ArcGIS for space analysis.
