本課程係以講解現成物設計的意義與特色，使學生了解設計表現與設計內涵之建構。透過先行了解產品之特色，學習利用拆解、拼接、結構、轉用等方式，重新形塑產品的價值與意涵。本課程將會由現成物設計的意義、設計的應用範例、設計的比現手法進行講解。安排兩次課程實地演練，使學生為此設計議題與方式有進一步的理解。課題一為個人練習，課題二為小組共同設計。並透過第二次的課題使學生連習團隊合作與溝通表現。

This course explains the significance and characteristics of ready-made object design, allowing students to understand the construction of design expression and design connotation. By first understanding the characteristics of the product, and learning to use disassembly, splicing, structure, reuse, etc., we can reshape the value and meaning of the product. This course will explain the meaning of ready-made object design, design application examples, and design comparison techniques. Arrange two course field exercises to enable students to further understand the design issues and methods. The first topic is an individual exercise, and the second topic is a group design. And through the second project, students can practice teamwork and communication performance.

基礎課程之目標在使學生對於工業設計具有先期的認識，以此使學生能夠有效的銜接後續進階課程而設計。本課程在於透過現成物設計之應用與分析，使學生在各種基礎課程中以對造型、色彩與材料有初步之認識，先行使大一學生能產品設計有一基礎之了解，並也嘗試接觸設計之流程。課程中透過解構一產品之外再構成要素，並探討其中知之特色、設計特點、先行了解產品外構形式的意義與符號。接著，嘗試學習了解設計之構成的轉換、拼接與挪用之表現，以此學習產品之功能與造形設計的意義、故事與脈絡。

The goal of the basic courses is to provide students with an early understanding of industrial design, so that students can effectively connect to subsequent advanced courses. This course aims to enable students to have a preliminary understanding of shapes, colors and materials in various basic courses through the application and analysis of ready-made object design. It first enables first-year students to have a basic understanding of product design and also try to get in touch with the design process. In the course, by deconstructing the external components of a product and exploring its unique features and design features, we can first understand the meaning and symbols of the product's external form. Then, try to understand the transformation, splicing and appropriation of design composition, so as to learn the meaning, story and context of product function and shape design.
