Architecture of Asian Cities
教育目標 Course Target
建築系自2000年代中期後,除與大陸高校持續建立學術交流,亦積極發展與孟買、曼谷、新加坡等城市之建築學院(系)進行教學交流,已陸續擴大及印尼泗水大學等之跨國合作,同時延續上世紀以來的亞洲城市建築課程,擴大涵蓋東亞、南亞城市的研究,並於2012年促成「亞洲城市建築論壇」(Platform for Asian Architecture & Urbanism),各結盟建築系(院)輪流舉辦跨國研討會及設計營。
亞洲區域內各經濟體正蓬勃發展,政治社會及文化活力強勁,台灣處在東亞中點,也屬現代化中段班,在關心兩岸關係發展之外,理應多加關注周邊國家的動態關係,藉由對各國際城市發展歷程的了解,以期養成健康的亞洲視野,是本課程的開課動機與目標方向。
Since the mid-2000s, the Department of Architecture has not only continued to establish academic exchanges with mainland universities, but also actively developed teaching exchanges with architecture schools (departments) in cities such as Mumbai, Bangkok, and Singapore. It has successively expanded cross-border cooperation with the University of Surabaya in Indonesia. At the same time, it has continued the Asian urban architecture courses since the last century, expanded the research covering East Asian and South Asian cities, and promoted the "Platform for Asian Architecture & Architecture" in 2012. Urbanism), the allied architecture departments (institutes) take turns holding transnational seminars and design camps.
Economies in the Asian region are booming, and political, social and cultural vitality is strong. Taiwan is at the midpoint of East Asia and is also in the middle stage of modernization. In addition to caring about the development of cross-strait relations, it is reasonable to pay more attention to the dynamic relations of neighboring countries. By understanding the development history of various international cities, in order to develop a healthy Asian perspective, this is the motivation and goal of this course.
