Psychology uses a systematic approach to explore the internal mechanisms and external manifestations of human mind and behavior. This course introduces the physiological basis of mind and behavior, and how social, cultural, and biological mechanisms work together to make people both similar and unique. The teaching content covers: the development and scope of psychology, biological and evolutionary basis of behavior, feeling and perception, consciousness, learning and memory, language and thinking, intelligence, emotion and motivation, personality, social cognition and behavior, mental abnormalities and other topics.
