在都市發展的過程中，交通問題一直是政府與民眾不得不關心的重要治理議題，但長久以來，台灣重要都市的交通問題卻都難以得到根本的改善。有鑒於此，本課程將基於永續發展之理論基礎，說明永續運輸的核心發展趨勢（例如取消管制、大眾運輸導向、人本導向、綠色運輸），並搭配當前台灣都市正在發生的永續運輸議題（例如捷運與輕軌，都市公車發展，私人運具持有問題，副大眾運輸，都市自行車發展，免費搭乘政策等），引導學生參與思辨交通政策，逐步建立永續發展的交通政策思維，進而協助學生認識永續運輸政策。

In the process of urban development, transportation problems have always been an important governance issue that the government and the public have to pay attention to, but for a long time, transportation problems in important cities in Taiwan have been difficult to achieve fundamental improvement. In this regard, this course will be based on the theoretical basis of sustainable development, explaining the core development trends of permanent transportation (such as deregulation, public transportation orientation, human-oriented, green transportation), and matching the permanent transportation issues that are currently occurring in Taiwan's cities (such as subway and Lightweight, urban bus development, private vehicle holding problems, deputy general public transportation, urban bicycle development, free ride policy, etc.), guide students to participate in and think about transportation policies, gradually establish a sustainable transportation policy thinking, and thus help students recognize the permanent transportation policy.
