台灣社會隨著民間力量以及第三部門的興起，吸引著我們透過諸如社會企業、宗教慈善、志願服務、私人捐贈…等等各種型式，投入推動公益慈善的工作。它為我們社會帶來了一股清新、活潑的生命力。然而，這股令人引以為傲的暖流，它的理念是什麼、跨學科的知識和技術又要如何整合與應用…等等，非常值得我們進一步關切。
本課程是這項系列課程的開端。我們將邀請院內30名、各系高年級學生(大三、四)及碩士生前來修課。參訪、討論、與實作是這門課的重點。在部份主題中，我們還會邀請產業界實務工作人員加入討論。期望透過混同學習、增加學生背景多元性的安排，能夠在互動過程中，強化理論討論與具體實作的深度與廣度。
經由這些安排，在課程目標上，我們除了希望鋪墊具體社會問題脈絡、整合學生投入公益慈善與社會服務過程中所須跨域知識和問題解決能力，以便提高日後進入實踐場域「即戰力」。

With the rise of civil society and the third sector in Taiwanese society, we are attracted to participate in promoting public welfare and charity through various forms such as social enterprises, religious charities, volunteer services, private donations, etc. It brings a fresh and lively vitality to our society. However, this warm current that we are proud of, what is its concept, how to integrate and apply interdisciplinary knowledge and technology, etc., are very worthy of our further concern.
This course is the beginning of a series of courses. We will invite 30 senior students (juniors and seniors) and master's students from various departments in the college to take courses. Visits, discussions, and implementation are the focus of this course. In some topics, we will also invite practical workers from the industry to join the discussion. It is hoped that through mixed learning and arrangements to increase the diversity of students' backgrounds, the depth and breadth of theoretical discussions and concrete implementation can be enhanced during the interactive process.
Through these arrangements, in terms of course objectives, we not only hope to pave the way for specific social issues, but also integrate the cross-domain knowledge and problem-solving abilities required for students to invest in charity and social services, so as to improve their "immediate combat capabilities" when they enter the practical field in the future.
