教育目標 Course Target
This course challenges students to see things from new perspectives and allows them to be flexible and nimble. At here, students start by knowing something, then wrestle with it, connect it to other things, see it differently. We want our students to search, question, re-imagine, and leading to a new kind of knowledge - more creative, more profound. No matter on performance in speech, with people and project, with as much joy, as much intensity and determination as possible. There's no answer key to the questions we ask, and we learn to create the answers ourselves.
In these classes, our students learn how individuals, organizations, and nations act on their desires and concerns. They gain historical perspectives, critical thinking skills, cultural understandings that help them collaborate with people across the globe, as well as communication skills that enable them to listen, explain, and inspire.
"From climate change to poverty to disease, the challenges of our age are unwaveringly human in nature and scale; and arts and science issues are always embedded in broader human realities, from deeply-felt cultural traditions to building codes to political tensions."
We all live in a complex, and ever-changing world, and all of us deserve the fundamentals in this toolbox: critical thinking skills; knowledge of other cultures; an ability to work with and interpret numbers; access to the insights of great writers and artists; a willingness to experiment, to open up to change; and the ability to navigate uncertainty.
