教育目標 Course Target

Course Objectives:
The objective of this course is to explore the implications that the process of internationalization has for the activities and policies of human resource management by taking three approaches: cross-cultural management, comparative industrial relations, and particularly multinational enterprise management.

Course Contents:
This course focuses mainly on the process of discussion, and lectures will be delivered to illustrate business theory and show the application of such theory. This course is designed to provide students with the chance to discuss real-life business scenarios or fictitious accounts of a business situation or dilemma, hence a heavy weight of individual participation frequency. In addition, group project is undertaken to implement problem-solving skills.

根據聯合國2006年世界投資報告,全球約有77000家跨國公司及其十倍之多的分支機構,雇用6200萬名員工。

企業國際化的過程中,人力資源管理扮演重要角色。為了降低工資使生產成本更具競爭力,引進落後地區的外籍勞工
;為了提昇管理或專業技能,企業重金禮聘,引進高層人力;為了管理海外的工廠或市場,企業派出經理人員。「人力」如同資金、原料、機械等其他的生產要素,可以穿越國界。

According to the United Nations World Investment Report in 2006, there are about 77,000 multinational companies and ten times more branches around the world, employing 62 million employees.

Human resource management plays an important role in the process of internationalization of enterprises. In order to reduce labor and make production costs more competitive, it will lead to foreign workers in backward areas.
; In order to improve management or professional skills, enterprises pay a lot of money to recruit and attract high-level manpower; in order to manage overseas factories or markets, enterprises send managers. "Human power" can travel across the country like other production factors such as funds, raw materials, machinery, etc.
