貨幣銀行學是了解金融市場與貨幣政策的基礎課程，有助同學掌握央行貨幣政策，可奠定財經學理基礎。具備此學理基礎後，有助同學進一步理解金融市場以及金融商品市場等專業課程。本課程一方面探討中央銀行如何藉貨幣政策工具，透過金融體系達成其貨幣政策的目標，進而影響一國之總體經濟表現；另一方面則對重要性日增的金融市場－股票市場、債券市場、外匯市場，以及新的金融工具作逐一的介紹。本課程內容包含五大主題: (1)貨幣與金融市場的基本觀念; (2)銀行學的基本知識; (3)中央銀行與貨幣政策的執行及影響; (4)貨幣與總體經濟活動之相互關係; (5)國際金融與貨幣政策,在修習本課程時，教師將隨時與同學討論與貨幣政策或金融市場有關之財經時事，並將順便講授說明相關的財金知識，培養同學判讀財經資訊的習慣與能力。

Money and Banking is a basic course for understanding financial markets and monetary policy. It helps students understand the central bank's monetary policy and lays the foundation for financial science. Having this academic foundation will help students further understand professional courses such as financial markets and financial commodity markets. On the one hand, this course explores how the central bank uses monetary policy tools to achieve its monetary policy goals through the financial system, thereby affecting a country's overall economic performance; on the other hand, it introduces the increasingly important financial markets - stock market, bond market, foreign exchange market, and new financial instruments one by one. The content of this course includes five major themes: (1) Basic concepts of money and financial markets; (2) Basic knowledge of banking; (3) Implementation and influence of central banks and monetary policies; (4) The relationship between money and overall economic activities; (5) International Finance and Monetary Policy. When studying this course, teachers will discuss current financial affairs related to monetary policy or financial markets with students at any time, and will also explain relevant financial knowledge to cultivate students' habits and abilities in interpreting financial information.

It basically go through the textbook chapter by chapter.
