General Biology
教育目標 Course Target
This course covers basic aspects of knowledge about general biology. There are two main sections that will be taught in this course. The first part of this course will focus on the introduction of biodiversity, ecology and evolution whereas the second part of this course will focus more on molecular biology and biomedical science. The main object of this course is to help students to understand and know the basic knowledge in the biological science such that the students can grasp the current trends in the biological science. After taking this course, we expect students to know (1) the process and pattern shaping biodiversity, (2) the content of ecology, (3) the process of evolution, (4) basic knowledge of molecular biology, and (5) trends of biomedical science. The level of this course is designed for the 1st year undergraduate students who are not major in biology. But, the important concept and basics will be still covered in this course.
