本課旨在協助學生從邏輯分析的角度探討中國與西方哲學中的主要問題。討論內容包括：
(1)何以邏輯方法對中西哲學問題的分析是必要的？
(2)邏輯概念、邏輯方法及邏輯哲學。
(3)用邏輯方法對西方哲學問題的分析：Bertrand Russell的確定描述辭理論，W. V. Quine 的存有論承諾之說，Saul Kripke的固定意指的觀念，Hilary Putnam對懷疑論者的「桶中之腦」一說之反駁，及神學與哲學中的「超越內在」說。
(4)用邏輯方法對中國哲學問題的分析：孟子的類比與推理模式；道家的超越言說的觀點；公孫龍的邏輯思考；後期墨家的語言與邏輯思想；辯者的詭辭；及佛家的語言與邏輯問題等。

This course aims to help students explore the main problems in Chinese and Western philosophy from the perspective of logical analysis. Discussion content includes:
(1) Why is the logical method necessary to analyze the problems of Chinese and Western philosophy?
(2) Logical concepts, logic methods and logic philosophy.
(3) Analysis of Western philosophical problems using logical methods: Bertrand Russell's definite description theory, W. V. Quine's existence conviction, Saul Kripke's fixed meaning of concepts, Hilary Putnam's reversal of the "brain in the barrel" of the doubters, and the "transcendence within" in theology and philosophy.
(4) Analysis of Chinese philosophical problems using logical methods: Mencius' genre and reasoning model; Taoism's view of transcendent speech; Gong Sunlong's logical thinking; later Mohist language and logic thought; connotation's verbal remarks; and Buddhist language and logic problems, etc.
