本課程的目標將分以下三個階段進行訓練：
（1）事物描述：藉此讓學生練習如何串聯各種不同的過程說明，學習簡潔易懂的描述方式。
（2）調查簡報：藉此訓練學生的資料調查能力，統整與截取重點的能力，學習如何在公眾前做簡報，提昇獨立思考的能力。
（3）主題討論：藉此養成學生傾聽對方的發言，訓練學生在群體討論時能踴躍發言，傳達自己的想法，或反論或說服，或提出自己的主張，透過集體討論，培養學生循著邏輯思考應對，提昇討論的技巧。

The objectives of this course will be divided into three stages:
(1) Description of things: This allows students to practice how to connect various process descriptions and learn concise and easy-to-understand descriptions.
(2) Investigation briefing: This is used to train students’ data investigation abilities, ability to integrate and intercept key points, learn how to make briefings in front of the public, and improve their ability to think independently.
(3) Theme discussion: Through this, students are trained to listen to each other's speeches, and students are trained to speak actively in group discussions, convey their own ideas, or counterargue or persuade, or put forward their own opinions. Through group discussions, students are trained to think logically and respond, and improve discussion skills.

為訓練選課者獨立思考以及提升資料調查能力，本課程將要求選課者配合每週的話題自行尋找參考書籍及資料，讓各個選課者能發揮自己獨特的看法。

In order to train course candidates to think independently and improve their ability to investigate information, this course will require course candidates to search for reference books and materials on their own according to weekly topics, so that each course candidate can use their own unique perspectives.
